I live in NYC, where it tends to be very windy when it rains so i was really looking for a sturdy umbrella not to break/flip out like the rest of my flimsy cheap umbrellas have. I used the umbrella this morning in the wind/rain and while it didn't flip out, it was very wobbly and not sturdy. Good for just a rainy day I suppose, but not as "tough" as I was looking for in the wind.

I keep this umbrella in a side pouch of my briefcase and carry with me all the time. The auto open/close works great. I've only needed to use the umbrella once so far, and it worked great in a light rain. Haven't had a chance to test the windproof value of it yet. I worry about how engineered the umbrella is and the effect this may have on how long it lasts before breaking. Seems to be very well constructed so it isn't a huge worry. All-in-all, the best travel umbrella I've owned to date.

I've used this a few times in rain and wind, where it tended to wobble.... until one fine rainy windy day it decided to flip over and broke in three places. Very disappointing considering its claims!

I hate writing negative reviews, but this pricey umbrella is exceptionally poorly-made. I've used it twice in light rain and wind, and already the canopy is separated from the frame in three places. If I weren't handy with a needle and thread, this umbrella would be every bit as disposable as your average New York $3 umbrella. Stay away.

I have been looking for a vented, black, automatic open umbrella for awhile. For some reason, they are hard to find in normal stores. This umbrella is exactly what I was looking for - plus it's a small size. I couldn't ask for anything more.
