      On 2002 Chevy Tahoe: Had to get 65inch bars to secure 4'x8' sheet of plywood. With smaller bars you can not achieve 4' between the feet using the model 450 foot pack roof rack connectors. Instead, one set of Stops must go on outside the mounting foot.

        If you want to carry doors, ladders, lumber or other building materials on top of your car, you need these. They keep your load where you put it and give you tie-down possibilities. I'd hate to see these get discontinued because almost everyone with Thule rectangular load bars ought to have a set. For canoes, get the canoe brackets instead.

              Purchased the load stop to make sure my canoe no longer shifts on top of my Jeep. The stops work great as they are easy to put on and adjust. They do not move even with heavy loads pushing against them. I can now have peace at mind when riding with my canoe or building materials on top of my car without fear of them moving.
