The product is good over all. Fits better than a similar product I purchased and returned from Thule 's leading competitor. Then again, what would you expect from European engineers? Keep in mind, you almost have to be an engineer to install it.
Comes with less than average instructions. If I didn't have experience with such equipment I would have gotten much more frustrated than I did. Really though, you just have to be thoughtful and patient. The results are worth the time.
FYI, it only extends the roof to a maximum size of 28-29." Not quite long enough if you are going to use it for a kayak. You you can buy and additional extender; however, it is expensive. No worries now that I have a solid base though. I will build my own-- nothing you can't do with some 2x4s and U bolts. Probably cost $20 in the end.

I had to call Thule for a replacement since they didn't thread it right from the factory. Sub par product at full price.
