Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
I went back to the store to ask if they knew how to solve the noise problem, and they recommended I add the Thule Fairing - part 871 in the case of my car. $60 later the noise problem is completely resolved. I strongly recommend the Fairing in the right size for your car also be purchased along with these bars.

Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
I use the product to transport personal belongings on vacations and college runs.
The carrier is awesome, but the bars force you to play your radio to drown out the whistle.

Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
Big enough to hold my long cargo box and another rack accessory. Well made, stable and solid with a heavy load. But, wind noise kicks in above 45 mph and is quite noticeable. Did not have this issue with flatter factory bars in the past.

Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
These bars are specific to the Thule Footpads you buy. These bars are lightweight and sturdy. They are noisy when you drive, though. If I spent more money I could have gotten the oval ones which are not supposed to make noise when the wind passes over them. Not ugly but you deffinitely know it's there.

Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
Great bars. I can usually fit windsurf boards, a kayak and 2 bikes up there with really no space left. They are a little small for two double kayaks, 2 bikes, and 2 wheel trays. Depending on how much gear you hall it might be better to get the 68+ width. Mine are inside the mirrors still with inches to go. 04 Grand cherokee. Before you buy lay out the max amount of gear you will put on the roof...

Comments about THULE LB58 Load Bars:
I choose the 58" over the 50" for my CRV and I'm glad I did. The bars extend approximately 4" over each side but are not in the way at all in my opinion. The extra length gives me more options when loading. It is especially helpful when loading my personnal pontoon boat!

Merchant response: We'd highly recommend a Thule Fairing. They not only look good, they also cut the wind noise dramatically.
