Comments about THULE 579XT Canoe Carrier:
canoe carrier was perfect for what I wanted when it came to moving my canoe to and from my favorite waterways. I've alwyas been somewhat uneasy about the standard tie downs and how unsecure they seemed, not with the 579 XT. Its solid. Great value too.

Comments about THULE 579XT Canoe Carrier:
If you need a trustworthy platform for carrying a canoe, this is it. I took a 17 foot Grumman aluminum canoe from CT to WI without a problem. I considered using foam blocks and other tie-downs to save money, but the peace of mind using Thule's proprietary canoe carrier was worth it.
