I was very dissaponted with this rack system. They looked great on my car but I cuold not drive the car due to the noise that these racks produced. My sun roof became unusable. I had to take them down and install old model.

Good Look, very stable, not hard to install, but takes some time just have to follow step by step.
I used to have square bars, they were pretty flexible, but these are very stiff and feel more stable.
The only thing I didn't like about these bar is wind noise.
It's got aerodynamic looking design, but I was surprised how noisy they were when I first installed them. Now, I'm used to it, but comepare to the square bars, it's not realy quiter...

Bought the Thule rack with the aluminum load bars since I knew that Thule racks are the best. I didn't want the old-school look of the black square bars (that haven't changed as long as I've been on this earth) and thought to try the aluminum bars for looks, and hopefully quieter operation at speed. The looks of the bars are great, though the towers still look pretty "upright", visually heavy, and not all that streamlined. That said, they are very strong, and fit my 2007 Versa perfectly. Noise at speed is likely better than the old style square bars, but not exactly quiet either. That's really my only complaint. Oh, and some Thule accessories only work on the old style bars (like the canoe carrier), so check for that when choosing to go with this system. Other than that, I love the rack, [...]

Great fit to my Volvo S60. Attaches to factory mounts located in the rain gutter on the roof. sits solid on the roof. Carries my canoe with no wobble to construction materials with out use of a truck.

Merchant response: Attaching a fairing which takes about 5 minutes greatly reduces the windy noise of the rack. It's key especially for vehicles with sun roofs!
