THULE 517 Peloton Fork Mount
Stylish and sturdy, the Peloton fork-mount bike carrier features a new wheel tray and strap design that fits road bikes, disc brakes, and fat tires.Features/Benefits:
- Carries bikes with wheelbases up to 48 inches (see Thule 517R Peloton Long Tray for bikes up to 58 inches, item # 210244281)
- Features classic V2/Velo Vise cam-design fork mount
- Dual-lock design locks bike to carrier and carrier to rack
- Wheel tray fits tire widths up to 2.6-inches wide with high-profile rims
- Fits all disc/suspension combinations with standard 9 millimeter axles (not compatible with 20 millimeter thru axles)
- Thule One-Key System compatible
- Minimum bar spread 12 inches
- Thule base rack components sold separately
- This carrier requires the use of Thule Xadapt9 (sold separately) when using the Thule Xsporter or rapid aero bars

Thule's cheaper fork mount bike carrier. The fork mount section is made of molded plastic which may fade after a while. Thule placed the lock cylinder on top of the clamp cover which makes it harder to lock and unlock if your car has a high roof.
On the plus side the cutouts for disc brake calipers work great.
Overall its what I expected from a thule fork mounted bike carrier.

This is a nice setup and easy to use. I like it better than the ones where both wheels are still on. This seems much sturdier with a lot less wobble. Also just seems more aerodynamic. Only down side is you have to put the front wheel in the car or buy the wheel carrier.

This is the third generation of this mount I've had and by far the best. The last model was all metal, which caused issues when removing a bike. This newr design is great and works extremely well.

I would rate the product a 5-star if it was all metal, instead of the hard plastic shell. No problems though. I'll still give it a 4.5. It works great and is very easy to use and secure.
