Unfortunately you need this adapter to attach the peloton bike rack to the aero bars. I thought it was rather ugly and bulky looking when installed. I just used the front adapters the way you were supposed to, but in the rear I drilled a hole thru the wheel tray and screwed it down to the aero bars like the front was attached.

Thos worked exactly like it was supposed to as well as fitting nicely. Thought that the adapter would make the rack less stable but it worked like a charm. Only reason that I rated it 4/5 and not 5/5 was that the instructions were not all that helpful. Once figured out though, it was real easy.

This adapter kit is necessary to install the bike tray to the aero bars. However the instruction for this kit and the echelon bike carrier tray do not tell the same story. Confusing instructions.
Other wise what else is there to say- it is hardware to connect one thing to another.
