I fit this to our '04 Forester with the Thule 440 rack. Without the fairing the rails were quite loud. With the fairing, even with kayak J's it really helps. Fit guide called for a much wider fairing. If you have factory bars, go narrow! We worried about the shallow angle because of the 440 but it works great and stays in place on the highway!
A bit tricky to assemble but well worth it.

It's a wind fairing and does what it should; without it I had a howling rack, and with it the noise has ceased. Installation was easy and it has sat securely on my roof through a lot of bad weather and bikes. Good stuff.

this is suppose to eliminate the wind noise [...] and its still very noisy. i had yakima prior and decided would try thule, not happy though!
