Once I got my thule roof rack I noticed a loud whistling noise even with the windows closed. I asked Eastern Mountain Sports where I purchased the main rack ststem, they recommended this. Once we installed it there was ZERO wind noise after the installation. Thanks for this great product.

While the wind fairing definitely does its job, it came in a million pieces and was a pain to put together. EMS does say they will install items purchased through them though so that could have been a solution.

I put it together myself and in the end was happy with the result. It cut noise and looked good. Still it is just a piece of plastic.

After one trip of piercing wind noise I knew I needed a fairing. Go with the bigger size. I was told I needed the 38in fairing but after reading similar reviews, I ordered both and was glad I did. The 44in finishes it off nicely by covering the entire front of the load bar. Now, no more road noise!

I purchased this for a 2006 Honda Accord after reading several reviews online saying this was a better fit than the length given in the Thule fit guide. The 44" fairing fits perfectly, with the ends landing right in the middle of the aero feet. The product really reduces wind noise, even with the sun roof open. The fairing itself also fit perfectly in conjunction with the sun roof, although I may have gotten lucky, but a simple adjustment of bar position wouldn't be that hard.

The product takes some time to set-up, like most Thule products, but as always this is just because it's built so well and is made to fit perfectly.

The fit guide on the Thule website and all descriptions on the Thule and EMS website indicated the 44" fairing would fit my 07 F-150. Upon installation it was easy to see that they were wrong. The 44" is way to small. I returned it for a 52" but am now waiting because it is a back order item. Urgh!

This ferring works great and provides low wind restistant while driving witha load on it.

So far so good. Had it on for about a month now. Pretty easy to install. Has greatly cut down on wind noise and whistling sound. Not cheap
but worth it.

The fairing is part of my car rack/kayak carrier and I am very happy with it. Glide and set carrier allows me to load/unload kayak alone. Kudos to EMS in Niskayuna, NY who installed the rack for me quickly, efficiently and properly, saving me the struggle with instructions. I love it.
