I am a real hydration system fan especially of Platypus which is more convenient for camping then the Camelback with its attached hose. This MSR takes the best of both - a wide mouth for easy filling but with a removable hose. I like to fill bags with boiling water when winter camping to put inside my sleeping bag. I was a little uneasy with my well used and aging Platypuses. The MSR is made of sterner but very lightweight stuff. I feel secure it will not split inside my bag. The material is very flexible. I purchased a 4 litre and it fits into 2 litre hydration sleeves comfortably.
