If you are city person just wanting a Nalgene I would suggest this bottle. For anyone else that would need their water out in the bush I would say just get a regular Nalgene. I got this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and when I opened the box I was expecting a hard bottle, its not. This bottle is not the typical hard bottle you can drop just like all their other products, you can easily squeeze it. So if you are depending on your water when you are backpacking, I suggest not getting this one. Also it retains smells very well.

Very durable. Wide mouth design allows easy hand or dishwasher cleaning. HDPE is safer than lexan so I've read.

After having hard plastic Nalgenes for a while, I switched back to this HDPE version a couple of years ago. It's a great and durable bottle with wider temperature range than the Lexan version. My dog recently sent it rolling off a rock to crash about 20 feet on rocks below. It bounced and was fine.
