Well, we used these tablets on a 3 day backpacking trip on the AT in CT. This was our first time using them and they worked great! None of us got sick which is the most important thing. I can't really speak on the taste or after taste since we added some powdered Propell after the water was treated. Couldn't taste a thing! The only other thing I could say is that it did turn our Nalgene bottles a little brown from the iodine but it wasn't a big deal and after we got back and washed them they were as good as new. Great product to have in a pinch and they are very compact.
