Comments about PETZL Freino Carabiner:
I marked myself as casual/recreational but I do occasionally compete.
I like the freino but there's not a lot you can say about a carabiner. The finish is very smooth, the auto lock is handy. The second clip area can be somewhat annoying depending on how you hold the thing. when you open the main clip you naturally put pressure on the back side of the carabiner... but usually there's jsut smooth metal... this one has the second clip...you can pretty easily pinch the skin between your thumb and pointer in there if youre not careful. Nothing terribly painful or lasting... just an annoying pinch.

Comments about PETZL Freino Carabiner:
This product makes a world of difference when descending on a Petzl Simple! It gives you more confidence and is easy to insert and extract the rope from the braking spur with one hand while on rappel for more or less friction as well as for locking off. It add an additional measure of safety as well as reduces the amount of gear on your harness. It makes change overs and re-belay cross overs safer and more simple.
