Comments about Petzl Charlet PETZL Vasak Mountaineering Crampons:
I use it everyday. This crampon is improved with the optional heal lever. With that option I use it on grade 5 vertical ice. Bonus, its Petzl's least expensive crampon.

Comments about Petzl Charlet PETZL Vasak Mountaineering Crampons:
I've only used these on one trip so far for some super steep ice, about a half mile of 50% grade on north tripyramid in the white mountains. I used them with some lighter boots and they worked out well, alitte uncomfortable but that was because of the boot. Easy on & off, great traction. Pretty light?(I have no real reference for that statment.)

Comments about Petzl Charlet PETZL Vasak Mountaineering Crampons:
A solid alpine and glacier crampon. I have the Flexlock binding, and the only reservation I have is whether one of the step-in bindings would serve me better, since my boots have the proper welts. But, that said, these have served me well in the Whites and I hope to take them west soon.
