Comes in handy whether around the house or deep in the wilderness. Uses for almost any situation and works great in any of them! Blades are very sharp, tools are strong and unyeilding. Don't have to worry about breaking anything on this, it can take a beating, very sturdy construction.

i have used leathermans for quite some time
and have found them to be useful in many applications
camping great for making a spear for your hot dogs, tent stakes and excellent for rope cutting etc.
for my car work the pliers have come in handy a couple times and the screwdrivers always fit those annoyingly large quantity of dash screws,
now in the navy i find myself using a bit of all of the above from my general maintnance to using it in vbss(board search and seisure)

Excellent multi-tool for use in the field. I have traveled and backpacked to many countries including france, italy, holland, canada, costa rica, belize, and soon honduras. I would not go anywhere without it. I lost it at customs when I packed it in the wrong bag, and I'm already buying a new one for my next trip. Its versatility makes it one of the best tools around, and it has helped me on one particular occasion to remove cactus spines from my hand. Surge did it with ease, any other tool would have been trouble.

It has the perfect combination of outdoor tools and home repair tools. Renovated a whole house and it had so many uses. Amazing build quality. Because of it's size, it is not as comfortable to grip as some of their smaller models. Too big for casual carrying, but invaluable when you are outdoors or working.
