New material, poor quality...

    Used these (or tried to) on Kilimanjaro. I noticed straight away that the color (lighter) and texture of the material was slightly different than the remnants of an old package I had with me. The new moleskins were very difficult to separate from the paper backing, in some cases coming off with a thin layer of paper stuck to the back of the adhesive. I nearly destroyed a whole pack of them just trying to get one of cleanly. When I finally did, they seemed thinner and rubbed off from friction more easily than the older ones I had. Completely useless in a critical situation. Watch out for this!
