I highly recommend this kit. I replaced only the battery once without using a new back and o-ring. I had trouble getting the o-ring back in its groove and the watch leaked after that. With this kit there have been no problems.

It is a battery for my Suunto Vector. It does what a battery is supposed to do. Why, do you expect that it will transform my life so entirely that I will just rave about it?
It is a battery!!! Get a life and don't bother asking such ridiculous questions about a BATTERY.!! It's not a hi tech piece of clothing or something you know. It's a gosh darn BATTERY!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I would recommend it to a friend. HELLO.......The watch kind of does not operate without it, because something that Suunto did the watch will not work unless you buy their batter. I know because I've tried.
You know what EMS is really going overboard it repeatedly sending this "Product Review". For such a menial, but essential item it is a total waist of time and effort. It makes me not want to buy anything from EMS again. Can you imagine just what they would be asking if it was a High Tech item??? Really. Get a Life EMS.............

I've replaced the battery before in my Suunto and really jacked up the battery cover. This is definitely a smart way to replace the battery and make sure you get a good seal. For a few dollar more than just buying the battery, you'd be crazy not to get this kit.

I've had my Vector for 7 years or so and have tried to skimp out and just buy the battery. Without a new plastic cap and rubber seal ring it just never seals up as tight if you don't bite the bullet and get the battery with a new cap and seal. I have flooded the insides of the Vector from not getting a new seal and the watch was toast for a bit till things dried out inside. Get this you need it. [...]
