Tried this on a recent overnight hike. It was our least favorite of the 3 MH meals we all shared. Taking out the chicken was an extra step that was more of a nuisance compared to the others-( just dumpin the water and wait) and more $ too. The chicken was quite good- very moist and was the highlight. The potatoes tasted like instant which I'm not a fan of.

Cooks faster than the rice/pasta dishes. Package was filling, potatoes basically taste like instance mashed potatoes. It's chicken and mashed potatoes so is somewhat plain, but sometimes that's just fine.

Didn't the preperation instructions on this and was a little surprised when it had more steps than dump in boiling water. But, it cooks quicker than the other ones, and was a very tasty meal. This could have passed for chicken right off the grill!

This was a beautifully seasoned entree that I tried on a recent camping trip. The instructions tell you to separate the chicken when it's done from the potato, but I think it's better to leave it in and just stir it in together. The chicken shreds easily with a spork! I'm putting this one on my shopping list for next time.

The mashed potatoes were excellent taste and texture wise, but the chicken was the opposite. Rubbery and bland as heck. There also was not enough food for 2 hungry 15 year olds after a 13 mile day.

The chicken & potatoes were ok but, could do without the chives.
