I climb mostly indoors and the smaller red brushes (I got 3 of them in my set) along with the big brush are perfect for cleaning the indoor grips.
I believe the wooden handle brush with it's softer bristles would be good for outdoor cleaning, but haven't tried it yet.

This kit I would say is pretty good. First off, the picture is deceiving. The set does not come with a bag I am pretty sure, and comes with three small red brushes not one as pictured. The best piece in the kit by far is the soft bristle wooden brush it cleans chalked holds using very little pressure without scraping the rock. I really wish that they sold that piece individually but its worth buying the kit for that alone though. The larger brush works really well attached to an extension and is really good for removing moss and larger stuff. The little red brushes aren't really that great but work just fine...

These are very good brushes. The only problem is there is no carrying case even though they advertise it, very agrivating.
