Great all purpose screw-lock carabiner. A little heavier than most but definitely gives an impression of added security and very well made.
Screw lock works very smoothly and gate closes quickly so it functions well with one-hand operation.
Only used them a few times in snow/ice conditions and no problems with freezing.

This has been my go-to biner for tree climbing for as long as I can remember. It's been incredibly reliable, locks very securely and easily, and unlocks just as easily. Much simpler and easier than dual-action locking mechanisms. I've never had one wear out or go bad in any way; 100% dependable.

I like the shape of these oval lockers for toproping but I found that after about a year the threads get kind of sticky. My other screwgates still work smoothly.

The Omega Pacific Oval Locking Carabiner by Omega can be best described as uber functional. It is indispensible for any traditional climber and I always have at least 2 somewhere on my gear loops or sling and I inevitabley always put them to work. If it ain't broke, don't fix it and this my friends ain't broke. The only thing that would increase my satisfaction would be a significant weight decrease, however I would not want to sacrifice any strength.

Merchant response: The threads shouldn't and really couldn't get sticky all on their own. It could be the tape you're using to tag (ID) your rack. Careful cleaning of your Omega locker ought to cure its stickiness.
