Comments about PETZL Calidris Climbing Harness:
I didnt notice the harness, which, with harnesses on a multi day wall, is a very very good thing. It was comfortable from the get go and adjusted perfectly to my frame. When I first got the harness it felt too light to me, to be honest. I was sure it would not be substantial enough to keep my hips from bruising and between my legs from being raw. I had climbed El Cap three times before this and my chief complaint during after those climbs was the bruising and soreness. Not the case with the Calidris though, I climbed El Cap twice with it (once in a day and once big wall style) this past June. The padding is in the right places and the fit works so I was comfortable during and after the wall.
I no longer feel like bringing the 'burly' harness is something I spoil myself with, it is a tool that keeps me healthy on all of the longest hardest days out there. My hips and legs and guts are still thanking me.

Comments about PETZL Calidris Climbing Harness:
I am a bowman on a racing yacht and need to be ready to go up the rigging at any time. This harness is very comfortable as I work the foredeck or hang from a halyard at the top of the mast.

Comments about PETZL Calidris Climbing Harness:
I go climbing outside at least every other weekend and 2-3 nights at the local climbing every week. I had a petzel adjama harness that I literally wore every day last summer at the New River Gorge I loved it! I have been climbing trad and sport and I'm baby stepping into big wall. so I bought the Calidris thinking it was what I needed. I've worn it like 6 days and it sucks! the padding has a strip of webbing running behind it in the leg loops and waistbelt that creates sharp pressure points when any force is applied.(falls) It effectively cancels out all the extra heavy padding. Also the sizing is stupid who jumps sizes at 34.5 waist. I wear a 34 in winter and a 32-33 in summer.

Comments about PETZL Calidris Climbing Harness:
I've worn a Petzl Caladris harness for a number of years and it finally needed to be replaced. No question in my mind to purchase another. The upgrades over my previous harness are great; rear haul loop, lower profile leg loop attachment in the back, and lower profile gear loops. I climb 90 or more days a year and do a lot of route development. I spend lots of time hanging in the harness and the Caladris is about as comfortable as it gets.
