They are noticeably heavier than other biners. I'm using them to rack nuts and other small gear, and like how it feels in my hand.

I used them to connect to my safety harness to my Hunting Stand. It made for quick hook up and quick release to get down. No more struggling to unbuckle the tree strap and hook up my safety strap and then re buckel and reverse the process to get down. Now it is a quick connect with the Carabiners.

I have a lot of climbing gear mostly all Black Diamond..My trad racks are full of all BD carabiners..They are easy to open and are very trustworthy or I wouldn't put it on my rack if it wasn't!! Hands down BD is the best in my book.

this type of carabiner is not allowed in most indoor rock gyms just for the reason that it dose not lock so i wouldnt use it in any indoor gym. also it dose not have a very good strenght so I wouldnt trust my life with it even though it dose with stand 18 kn of force.
