Comments about PETZL Attach Carabiner:
I have had this same carabiner for my BD ATC for over 5 years. I have used it for everything from munter's to clove hitches to Radium Release Hitch setups.
This carabiner has been to the moon with me and back, and I still find that after so many years of use, the only thing wear is:
- A slight wear of the color on the red unlocked indicator.
- The yellow coating has worn off on one part of it due to the constant rubbing from the rope.
In Conclusion, This carabiner is relatively "light", has average primary axis strength, and works well with many different kinds of hitches and setups. It also has quite a long use life.
The attached picture shows some usage wear on the top of the carabiner as well as the wear on the red unlocked indicator.
Oh, Plus its awesome for self belay with a Mini-Traxion!
Good climbs,
Joe

Comments about PETZL Attach Carabiner:
I love this carabiner. so much nicer than any of the others I've owned. the size is perfect with a grigri. I bought one and then went back to buy two more. everything about it is perfect. I love the screwgate- it's so much smoother than other brands and screws open/shut with a lot less turns than some others. A nice feature is the red paint that warns you when its open. I prefer these to auto locking carabiners because they are just so easy. you can't go wrong with these. go get some.

Comments about PETZL Attach Carabiner:
I got this when I purchased my BD ATC and I've used the two together all the time. I love the shape and size of the biner, it works great with the ATC, and it's a screwgate that when cranked down stays put and doesn't accidentally unlock. The only downside to this one is that it's a bit heavy compared to a few others I've found, but I enjoy the heft for security while belaying/being belayed. All in all it's a great biner, highly recommended for use with a belay device.
Pros
- Scratch resistant
- Simple
Cons
Best Uses
- Indoor climbing
- Outdoor climbing
- Top Roping
Comments about PETZL Attach Carabiner:
Because of its pear shape and smaller than-average size (for a pear), this biner seems to be perfect for belaying in a top rope setting.
