My intention was to use this as a climbing line for tree work, unfortunaly it is a touch to stiff. Will work great for drop lines.

I bought a short length (70 feet) of this static rope to do some smaller rappels without have to worry about a bunch of excess rope to manage. I also bought it to help teach some of my friends how to rappel. I have used sterling ropes and other equipment from then NUMEROUS times and was disappointed with how abrasion-resistant this rope was NOT. I have only used it twice for maybe 10-15 rappels at about 40 feet and the rope is frayed in very many spots. And yes, I am very specific about protecting my rope from edges and sharp rocks, but lets face, it the rope will almost always contact some rock. While the little frays are not considered dangerous as of right now, it was only the 2nd time is used it which makes me nervous. I have sterling dynamic ropes that I have used on the same rappels and this fraying has not occurred after mutliple climbs and rappels.

Great for building anchors. I wish it wasn't solid blaxk so you can seen the knots better, but thats ny on;y complaint

Use it for setting up top rope anchors esp. off trees. Awesomely static. It is black! How much more black could it be? None more black. Superb.
