Have not received item yet, will update review once it arrives, but one should note the following corrections. This information is directly from the manufacturer:1. the pic shown is the 140L which does not have the knee braces and the cockpit is larger.2. the cockpit size is actually 33" x 18"In addition, the seat in the 140S is "performance" oriented, not "comfort". There is apparently a rudder option, don't need one now but nice to know I can add it in the future if I get on the open water more often. I've heard great things about this kayak online. Both EMS and Hurricane were fantastic in helping me make my decision. [...]

I have this kayak and love it. I tried out numerous other kayaks and kept coming back to this one. I've had it about a year and am very happy with my purchase. It cuts through the water and is very easy to handle, even for this beginner.
The reviewer who pointed out that the picture is of the 140L is correct. They are also correct about the seat. I'm happy with the weight of the 140S but the seat isn't as comfortable as that in the 140L.
