I have never dropped these directly in water, so I can't vouch for how well they float, but they have been in a damp backpack before and they kept my cell phone, camera, and credit cards dry, when a larger dry bag leaked. I use these when I go camping and I like the variety of sizes. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is because I haven't tested them in more situations, so I don't know how they would hold up.

I use the sacks to keep my phone, camera and stuff out of the elements whether I am biking and worried about mud or rain or at the beach and don't want to get sand or water on something. They seal up completely and are awesome! I will probably get more !

I bought this product for my husband to use on his scooter trips. Sometimes he gets caught in the rain, and he always packs everything in grocery stores plastic bags. I thought his wallet and smaller items were important enough to put in something more durable. I did suggest that he put his cell phone in one as well. He is very happy with them so far.
