Let me say up front that since this is "rescue gear" I fortunately have not had to use it yet. After shopping around and getting advice from experienced kayakers, this was the best value, especially since it includes the strobe light - a very useful tool as it also functions as a flashlight and red light. I might even be able to use it while cycling.
My only comment is that the paddle float does not come with clear instructions, and it is not clear how to use the clips when attaching it to a paddle. It looks like you wrap the ends of the float around the paddle and then click together. The float might be difficult to secure in a self-rescue situation, so I plan to practice with it often. But the size and floatation of the float is exceptional. I also wish they offered a coiled paddle leash.
