I use this to keep water and critters out of EMS purchased kayaks. I store both kayaks outside during the winter and my concern was birds nesting inside in the spring. I also put both kayaks on my sailboat during the sailing season and these cockpit seals will keep water and winds out of the interior.

Bought for my Pungo 120. Easy to put on. Bought it to keep water out between uses. Also for long term storage to keep spiders and whatever else out. I did not use it during transport so I cannot say how well it works for that. Very happy with my purchase.

Although the rim fit is snug and will serve the purpose of keeping out bugs during long-term storage, I had hoped the surface of the cover would be more taunt when stretched over the cockpit for those long-distance cartop transports.

The cockpit seal came in handy to transport our kayaks on long road trips. It's not easy to put on by yourself, much better if you have an helper. I was concerned that the seal would blow off at highway speeds but it stayed on. I am sure that my gas mileage improved because of the more streamlined profile of the sealed cockpit.
