Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
Wife and I each have one, one for her 12"Dirigo and one for my 12" Pungo. We've used them to bring our kayaks up and down to the lake to our dock - Involves about 800' of driveway & road asphalt and about 250' of woodland trail some part of both involve steep little hills to drag the boats up/down...
The Molly Cart is easy to set-up under the boat and even though the boats seem to shift to sit on one side or the other - it's stable enough to pull around ok.
There is something about the strap and hook that attaches to the cockpit lip that seems a bit flimsy. I can see how it could get broken if it where not worked on & off the lip carefully. I wonder how long the plastic hook part of it will last (see earlier review).
The wheels work better for asphalt than for the wooded trails - Might want to go for a dolly with air filled wheels/tires if you have woodland paths to put your kayay with.

Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
The Paddleboy website said the Molly cart was able to portage a canoe. My 15.5 ft canoe was very difficult to attach and balance on the cart. The hook that attaches the cart had a very short strap; in fact the hook broke when I tested the cart out tooling around my yard! What attracted me to this cart was the price. I would say this cart would be ideal for a smaller one person kayak.

Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
The Molly Cart is a cheap alternative to expensive kayak carts. The Molly accomplishes its basic task with aplomb - help me move my 55lb kayak from garage to boat ramp (approx 200m). The cart is nothing more than a piece of hard molded plastic with to cheap wheels on a metal axle. Realistically I shouldn't have to pay more than $20.00 for this cart - but compared to other carts it is a bargain! The only improvement I would suggest would be to exchange the buckle on the strap for a clip - if you don't run the strap under your kayak deck lines the cart slides right off. A clip would help to rapidly secure the cart under deck lines.

- Storage Solution
Cons

Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
I bought them to be able to store the kayaks under the deck. The deck is only 3 feet high and I needed a low profile set of wheels. They attach easily and the boats just fit under the deck. Much better than carrying them up the basement stairs! Last week we used them for a couple of short portages on the Schuylkill river. Fits easily in my Sirroco. Tight fit in the wife's Capella. Worked well on rough terrain. Several people in the canoe club have them.

Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
The product is billed as being appropriate for canoes. The strap, however, was not long enough to go around my canoe and allow the cart to be attached far enough from the end of the canoe so that the cart would not pull off the end. I solved the problem quickly by substituting my own strap from the roof rack, but the product should have been able to do what it said without further modification by the user. The cart itself worked great, solving a problem at a reasonable price.
Pros
- Easy To Attach
Cons
Best Uses
- Portages on roads
Comments about PADDLEBOY DESIGNS Molly Cart:
we live about 1/4 mile away from a usable launch site & were looking for a cart to avoid having to set up the car rack for that short distance. The high dollar carts didn't fit in the wells of our Wilderness Systems rides, these do. The strapping is reconfigurable to support both my GF's slim Tsunami and my beamier Tarpon. Lift up her butt (the kayak, not my GF) roll the cart under, do up the straps, good to roll. Launch time, undo the straps, put the cart, whole, no takedown, into the well, ready to row. Bought two, we both happy, and greenly mobile too, who could ask for more. Looks like it's designed such that plastic at stress points (axle passthroughs and wheels) will take a while to wear out, if ever.
