These binoculars are great! I tested them at the EMS Carle Place New York store before buying. I compared them against more expensive brands as well. The selling point for these is that they were super compact, wide and let in a lot of light. Also, you could focus relatively closely, impressively in fact. This was a gift for my mom, a recent retiree who bird watches off her back deck. I wanted something she could use to birdwatch from her deck looking into the trees, or, if a bird landed on the actual deck - so near and far. The compact size means she could put them on her windowsill and not have to wonder where they are - mom proof!
