big numbers, always easily readable
the altimeter, and the compass are accurat ! I didn't believe it than I realized, but it's true !

- the only contra maybe the tiny scratches you can get with use, but you can defend it by a sticker...

This watch is great for military personnel. I use this watch everyday and depend on it to provide me with accurate compass and barometer readings.

The back light is great too. Some say it's too dim, but if you require stealth, you don't want your watch to light up the whole room.

The build quality is great. It doesn't have any scratches after three weeks of wearing. Maybe I'm just a careful person?

If you're thinking about getting this watch, do it. You won't regret it.

I absolutely adore this product. I use it everywhere like when I go snorkeling in the Keys, hiking in the Adirondacks, Trout fishing in Vermont,Hunting in New York,exploring in the woods all over the place, ice fishing, and rock climbing, hell I where it everywhere. Very strong well made watch,I recommend this watch to any outdoor enthusiast, soldier, survival expert, or just anyone who wants a [*] watch!

This is by FAR the best watch for the tactical environment we operatre in. I would HIGHLY recommend this watch to anyone serving, or for anyone wanting a watch that does it all from dual time zones (EXTREMELY helpful as a pilot, needing to know zulu time all the time), compass, and altimeter.

After many many many years of abuse of my trusted military core I decided it was time to look for a new watch and retire the old one.... I looked at other brands and other Suunto models but couldn't find anything better then military core.... The kicker is my son wound up taking the old beat up core and put a new strap on it and loves it.....

Here it is. I walked into the ems store to buy this product. |I was debating this item for sometime. Price seemed a little stiff. the mangager said he had one that was returned but dosent have the instruction manual , he would happily give to me with 30%off. and I thought humm all i need is the instruction manual. Because of my trip coming up in the next day . I decided to pay the full price for the New One as so i can have the instruction manual as I informed the manager, who said understood. Well |I get back to my office about 45min away. excited about this New Watch. I open it and find there is 4 copies of a basic instuction which is absolutly useless!!!!!. I called the number on the back of one of those basic instruction guides and was informed by the maker that the only way to get a conmplete guide is you have to download it. which is aprox 54pages compared to the 4 pages it came with. |Now i am not happy!||!!!! because of my trip. i needed basic understand of how to calibrate and which buttons to push to calibrate which i called the tech support about 5times . and yes they were able to answer my question. I feel as a manager you should know what your selling and when i called the store to inquire about the other watch, he said nothing and did nothing to solve the issue except he offered me to return it. let me see i could of bought the same watch and same info for 30%less. rather this manager allowed my self to buy a watch with the exact material for full price . the watch is complicated dont ecspect to be able to fully use this function of this wath without the full instruction manual and the tech support.

A great looking and performing watch. I used this watch during an ascent of several thousand feet and I can say that the altitude is an estimate. The compass works well, however the temperature is not accurate unless you take it off your wrist for half an hour minimum. I would never count on the altitude or storm warning features since they are calculated from barometric pressure values.
