Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Sabretooth Pro Crampons:
Got these for my wife who works on Mount Washington. Fit them to a pair of plastic Koflachs. My opinion, if you have plastic boots, get "clamp-on" style crampons. They go on faster and easier with gloves on and stay on when you push them "waterfall ice climbing". Excellent crampon. Oh, and did I mention stylish?
Pros
- Comfortable to walk in
- Excellent Fit To Koflachs
- Solid Foot On Ice Slopes
Cons
Best Uses
- Ice Hiking In The Adk
Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Sabretooth Pro Crampons:
I used these crampons for a four day overnight mountaineering school in the ADK's.
We climbed up five mountains, three of them 4k plus. All of them required the use of crampons. These performed flawlessly! They are easy to put on and take off my plastic koflachs. They stayed glued to my boots!!! I had some crazy places to get up and over. They held tight to the ice every time! If you are seriously climbing and hiking the trails, then get the sabretooth! We did not do any roped climbing so not sure how they work. We stuck to the trails.
Pros
- Easy to put on
- Looks good
- Secure
Cons
Best Uses
- Mountaineering

Great all-around crampon! I use it with size 12 Scarpa Inverno's and they fit just fine. They also collapse small enough to fit in my Petzl Fakir Bag.
A great deal!

Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Sabretooth Pro Crampons:
These really do everything. With these ceampons coupled with my Koflach boots I've climbed ice in the Gunks and Dacks, and climbed Mt. Washington. They're super solid and durable, easy to use with insulated handwear, and effective on virtually any mountain terrain. Love em.
