Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Traverse Poles:

Having used hiking poles for over 40 years for hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, and randonee skiing, I rate Black Diamond the best of any poles for ease of use to adjust the length with their snap lock feature that allow quick, easy adjustment with even heavy ski gloves. The strong metal will hold up well with aggressive force applied in extreme hiking or skiing. For their cost, these poles are best at the lowest price in the Black Diamond category.
The only drawback is that they only compact to half their length due to only two sections and this might create a storage or carrying disadvantage.
