Great overall headlamp, long battery life, only downside is that it doesnt come with a spare bulb.
But, overall it is a great headlamp for anyone who needs a little more light and doesnt want to pay too much for it.

We haven't been out camping yet, but it works well for late night dog walks... bright enough so cars see you. Much brighter than our old lamp.

this light has been more than bright enough for any situation I've come across XC skiing. It's much less hassle than the heavier duty brighter setup I use mountain biking. That said it would not be bright enough to mountain bike with. It's a great product for activities with modest lighting needs. Easy to use. Batteries last longer than I had expected.

We bought this and two Tikka XP2's for christmas. We run at night and do alot of sled riding at night and they are all great. For the extra 15 bucks the flood on the XP2 is much better. but the light from this is just about as bright. Very durable and has never even came off the band when a 6 year old rolls down a snow covered hill with his.

I just received this headlamp as a gift. It fits well, is bright and throws light in a wider path than my old headlamp. I plan on using it for camping and backpacking trips. It will also come in handy during power outages and to read in bed.

What a great product. I put this on to do many chores around the house where lighting could be better. I also wear reading glasses and this helps tremendously. I bought products for my family and think this is a great gift as it has so many uses. I bought another Petzl light with a sliding red lens to use for night vision and use with my telescope. This product could have a stronger red light.

I just completed a two-day Boy Scout camping trip with my son where it rained continually day and night (thank you hurricane Ida). The Tikka2 stood up to the torrential rain and performed flawlessly. The strap design seems to be padded better than any other headlamp I've ever tried allowing it to be worn continuously from sunset (4PM) until lights-out (10PM) with no discomfort. On the dark-wet trails, the extra-bright main light provides illumination equal to a powerful hand held flashlight while keeping my hands free. The low power-saving mode offered plenty of light for bed-time reading with less drain on the batteries. This is a top-notch headlamp.

I like to keep this headlamp in my pocket, I have limited lighting where I live. I can wear it all night and it is comfortable. Enough light for chores and close proximity activities. Night backpacking may need more light than this. I use it daily for camping, hiking, around the yard and house.

I just got home from an expedition to Newfoundland where I got to use this new version of the Tikka. Petzl continues to improve on the little things with this one: ease of use, levels of brightness, battery time and comfort of wearing. And my favorite is the ability to turn it on/off OR change the brightness with gloves on. I didn't have to change the batteries for three weeks on that trip! Nice work, Petzl.
