Comparing the various BD crampons, I've found that the main difference between the Serac and the Sabretooth is that the front, side, middle points on the Sabretooth are full length which creates a better rocker function for striding on ice. Also, the pro model, with the front bar for rigid, front welt boots, sits further back, when mounted, than the clip version does by .25".
