Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Feel Free Daypack:
I use this as a school bag and it has yet to disappoint me, it actually fits my 17" laptop. Its a solid bag, but I'm still confused as to what the Kangaroo pouch is for.... Also the straps, i assume for snow/skateboarding don't work all that well.

Love the backpack, comfortable, handles load well and priced reasonably. Only wish it had a few more compartments for storing smaller items. Highly recommended!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Feel Free Daypack:
This is a really nice, super-comfortable pack with a single problem I haven't solved (and maybe can't be easily solved). Went hiking and at times it was raining heavily. After about an hour went into the pack to get out a map ... to find it wet and starting to disintegrate. Clothing inside was wet and the moisture wicked onto the map. I think what happens is the kangaroo-type pouch on the front of the pack can gather water which then leaks into the main compartment. If the pack is completely full (like in the photo) maybe this won't happen quite as easily as it did for me. My friend has an EMS Fen pack which has mesh netting rather than a pouch and had no water problem. I'm considering putting grommet holes at the bottom of the pouch and/or using plastic bags inside for everything. Anyway that's the problem and nevertheless I really like the pack except for this. I recommend it for dry weather hikes or if something to keep the contents dry is used (like plastic bags). One other thing I should point out is my pack is last year's model and maybe this years does not have this problem but it seems the design has changed very little.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Feel Free Daypack:
I use this pack for biking to and from work and grad school. The shoulder straps are comfortable, there's better ventilation then I thought, and it fits snugly and doesn't move around a whole lot, especially since there are tightening straps that go around the whole pack. I love the pocket on top -- it's easy for getting out keys to lock my bike up.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Feel Free Daypack:
I use this mainly walking to and from work. Great pocket for laptop and plenty of room for a change of clothes, lunch, paperwork.... I love it!! The only changes I'd make are in the compression straps. They go across the front of the pack, making it awkward to get in and out of the zippered storage. It would be nicer if they were on the sides of the pack. The large pocket in front is great, but it's totally open. It would be nice if it had a center clip to encourage things to stay inside. Minor recommendations...as I said, I love this pack!

I bought this pack for my daughter, for school. She is now in High school, and a tomboy. the pack is great as it is functional, for school needs, and looks great, which suits My daughters needs to look cool. Finally, she likes a bag that will last her a lifetime! Hope she likes it that long, or I might have to steal it from her!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Feel Free Daypack:
I've only used this product for about a week so far, but it seems like it will be perfect for my needs. I carry a lot to/from school every day and will be biking to class once the weather cools down a little here...this bag should do the job. It has a sleeve for my laptop, room for a few books, and lots of other smaller pockets/flaps for stashing other things in. It fits comfortably once adjusted to fit your individual size/shape and seems pretty sturdy. So far so good!
