I have used this watch for years now in all kinds of climates, high altitude climbing to diving in the caribbean. It has out lasted every other watch I have owned, and I go through watches prob 2 or 3 a year all different brands and qualities. None have put up with such abuse before I love this watch. This watch is not built for people with larger wrists but it will fit adults and children. I purchased this watch from a local EMS as a semi cheap low profile thrash watch for everyday use. I have never needed to put in a new battery in prob 2 years of use. I have only 2 changes I would make. First I would make the elastic bands holding the face on a tougher material, the sraps on my watch did not break but from so much use they are kind of saggy, but this might be why this watch hasnt broken?? second the plastic ring around the face broke off over a year ago...still works and i kinda like the all black look on it now without he grey plasic face. Bottom line if your lookin for a relatively inexspesive digital watch that you can beat to death don't hesitate on this product. I did not use the other features on this watch cant say how good the chrono is. Great product Timex keep makin tough stuff thanx.

I never take this watch off- don't have to worry about it in any condition either. I thought the velcro band might get a little smelly after a while as opposed to a plastic one but I was wrong. I haven't taken this watch off for several weeks now, have been wearing it in the ocean, and on my runs and it is totally durable and doesn't smell. Dries quickly too. No skin reactions to wearing it constantly.
