Comments about STOHLQUIST Descent Life Vest:
I am not a great swimmer but I do kayak and snorkel so I always have a PFD on anywhere near water. I like to test out my equipment in the pool before I get into trouble in the backcountry and this vest gives me all the confidence I need! 17 lbs boyancy deflated- 22 inflated. I tried snorkeling with it and it will not let me dive as hard as I try. I feel very comfortable with it in deep water and have purchased the air bladder for an extra "insurance policy" if I really get into a bad situation in my kayak. Has ahigher back than my other vest so it fits over the seat back in my cockpit without riding up to high into my chin. For the price, it should come equiped with an air bladder. I had to order it from another vendor as EMS did not carry them.
