I use this bag mostly for school. It can hold a laptop, several textbooks, lunch AND my mug and water bottle. There are convenient holders for pens, cell phone, and any other little items you might carry, which assist greatly with organization. Even fully loaded, the padded strap makes it quite comfortable to carry. I have also used it when travelling as a carry on -- it's a great all around bag!
My only complaint is that the shoulder strap could be a little longer. But I should note that I am 6' 3' tall, so shorter people should have no problem with this.
