The chacos are going to be great as a summer light hiker or for walking. They are pretty clunky looking and not appropriate for the office or a first date, unless your date is a hike in the woods. Here's the rub... outside of foot along the heel. These shoes provide a good deal of support, however I would argue that it is a bit more forward on the foot than you may want. Another plus of these shoes is the care instructions, throw them in the wash regularly. You may want to throw them in a mesh bag to keep the scuff marks off your dryer!

I bought these because I needed something to keep my feet cool while still supporting my arches. These sandals are perfect. I am still wearing them in December with my Smart Wool socks.
I love that the straps are narrow which makes the overall look less "chunky." The straps easily adjust around the whole foot and the quick release buckle is similar to my snowshoes! which makes them easy to get on and off. I bought a half size larger to accommodate the socks and am very happy with the fit. The overall product quality is very good and I hope to get alot of wear out of these sandals.

It took about 2 weeks to break in and I was worried they wouldn't be as comfortable as advertised. They fit like a glove now and they provide true arch support. I have very high arches and it's difficult for me to wear sandals long because my feet ache easily. I can wear these all day and have no problems!
