Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
Im 5'2 so I had plenty of lenghth and room.. I would guess a 6' - 6'2 man would still find plenty of room, it does streach.. the fabric was soft and comfortable but, very sheer and light... I was very impressed w/ how increadably warm it was! I normally sleep in down mummy bag during fall camping trips but, I used my light weight mummy bag w/ extream thrmolight for a resent 3 day backpacking trip to cut down on volume and weight.. I was so warm that I slept w/ my bag open both night... this is amazing product for someone that has cold weather issues... I have Raynauds sysdrom in my hand and feet my body chills very quickly.... I WISH THEY MADE GLOVES :)

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
Recently purchased the Thermolite Reactor Extreme before spending a few very cold nights while hiking in the Dolly Sods Wilderness of WV. Temperatures dropped well below freezing (late Oct/early Nov). I carry a lightweight 30 degree bag and with the insert I was warm and comfortable. Performed as advertised! Lightweight, packs small, and will use it a lot!
Pros
- BREATHES WELL
- Compact
- Holds the heat
- Reasonable weight
- Summers also
Cons
Best Uses
- Hot summer camping
- Winter Camping
Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
I have only used product in a cold condition, but feel after using it that it is so sheer and lightweight that it seems perfect for summer as a "light" bag.
I used product in a chilly 30 deg. F enviro with a cheap 40 deg. F bag. We had a stiff breeze and I would have truly froze if not for the use of this product. By fully enclosing myself in it and closing down exterior bag, I was able to resist wind penetration and survive the night in relative comfort and warm feet! I would have to say that claims of adding another 10-15 deg. F seem very true.
It is a simple addition when questions arise to a bag being a low enough cold rating on a trip. Weighs around a pound or so- but better than carrying a bigger bag instead.

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
I used this liner with The North Face Cat's Meow sleeping bag in below freezing weather (probably somewhere around 25-30 degrees). I was warm all night until my girlfriend woke up in the middle night complaining she was cold. I let her use the liner with her sleeping bag and she felt great. I remained warm in my bag but not as warm as I was with this liner.
This size was perfect for me (5'10'') with room to spare. It is light and compacts really well with the bag it comes with.

I bought this as a gift along with a sleeping bag for a volunteer who will be hiking the appalachian trail to raise money for our organization(Andrew's Helpful Hands). He will be arriving in Georgia tomorrow to start his amazing journey.

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
We used ours to supplement our military surplus sleeping bags with gore tex bivy covers. We slept in the lean to at Indian Pass in -4F . The liners kept us toasty without adding weight or bulk to the bags . Easy wash when we got home too. These would be a great supplement to those reflective emergency bivy bags. Small and light enough to toss in day pack.

Comments about SEA TO SUMMIT Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner:
I used this with my 0 degree Marmot down bag. It was -7 plus the wind chill on Giant Mt. in the Adirondacks. I was acutally warm and had to unzip my bag slightly.
