Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
I bought these gloves last winter for my son and they got a small tear in them pretty quickly. But my son loved them and wanted to get the same type of gloves again. I brought them back but since it was the end of the winter they didn't have any of the same ones left. We were told we could bring them back at the beginning of next winter and exchange them when they got more in and that's what we did. [...] My son loves these gloves as they are very warm and water proof and he wears them skiing and camping and anytime he's outdoors in the winter. I'm sure it was a fluke that they ripped in the first place [...]

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
These are nice glovers but lack a hand warmer pocket, I was able to put the handwarmer in the palm of my hand but a pocket is very useful. Overall a good glove at a good price but if you are skiing in extreme cold you need somwthing warmer.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
Glove has been good so far in cold weather down to zero (-5 with windchill). I was concerned about the glove not having a removable liner. So far it has not been an issue. I do find myself using a liner glove though just to be sure and to be able to use my phone more easily. Seems like a sturdy build and good grip.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
I have used these gloves on Mt Shasta for Glacier Climbing and Ice Climbing in the Adirondacks. They dried out well for multiple day use when I kept them near my body under my softshell. I have two pair to alternate on hard climbing days. Sweat did not build up nearly as fast as I thought they would having a goretex layer and all. I loved them so much I bought the mitten too for while in camp or resting. I also boughta pair for my girlfriend for her first winter climbs and later Shasta bids! Please do not stop making them I will buy a new pair every year for the new winter climbing and 5th season out west.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
Bought these gloves just before a Summit trip up Mt. Washington in the dead of winter. Stayed very dry and warm during white out conditions and 90+ mph winds above the treeline. The quick drawstring on the wrists and cuffs are great. Good grip. My only complaint is that the stitching of the re-enforced leather on the palm seems to already be coming apart a little bit. I do handle an ice axe quite a bit on my climbing expeditions but still, this was after just one use. We'll see how they hold up over time.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
these are very good gloves. they are a little bit bulky but it depends on what you're doing for that to matter. good fit. water/windproof... just really warm! insulation is comfy and they just work. especially if you have to stand outside in the cold for a long period of time.
as a disclaimer, i am affiliated with gore for product testing. i do recieve items from them for this purpose...... but these i bought. enjoy!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Ascent Summit Gloves:
gloves are great, but came missing the red cinch cord to secure the gloves to your wrist, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
