THULE 970XT Helium 2-Bike Rack
At nearly half the weight of a traditional carrier, the Thule Helium is an ultralight aluminum hitch rack for easier installation and removal of the rack.Features/Benefits:
- Ultralight aluminum construction for easy handling, installation, and removal
- No-tool installation—simply load into hitch and tighten receiver knob
- Narrow cradle arms hold a wider range of bike frames including smaller child frames
- T3 Cradles hold bikes in place for maximum frame protection and stability

- Hitch Switch folds arms down when not in use and tilts carrier away from vehicle for trunk, hatch, or tailgate access

Already had the Thule Spare-Me, the only bike rack to fit my RAV4. Got this rack for my new family car. Works great! It is light enough that even with bikes on it, I can swing it away and open the back of my Highlander without help. The drawing of the rack in some ads show the locking knob sticking out, possibly leading to shearing it off. It DOES NOT stick out further than the rack.

The 2-bike rack arms are not long enough to properly fit two mountain bikes using the anti-sway accessory. Buy a 3-bike rack for 2-bikes which is what I would have done had I known the length of the arms on the 2-bike rack were too short for two mountain bikes. Now I have to improvise with securing foam pads between the two bikes or let the bike chaff on each other.

We put this rack on a Nissan Versa with a spoiler. It works great. Holds a very large and a very small bike without any problem. Does need additional straps to prevent stress on rack.

It is exactly what it is advertise as. Easy to assemble. Lightweight. Easy to load. I like the stabilizer braces which keep the bikes from rocking - no more chaffing bikes or my new 4-RUNNER. I like the built in locks- great for travelling. I have only used it once in a short (30mile) trip and it was everything I could have asked for. I will no longer have chaffing on my new 4-RUNNER from the straps of my old Thule 910? bike rack.. I can now open the back window without having the bike rack pressing on the rear window. Tilt system is easy to use and helpful if you leave your rack on.

Great pricing. I checked over a dozen sites and couldn't find anyone (with a great Better Business Bureau rating) with a better price. The local bike shops could not even come close. [...] their prices couldn't be beat.
