I use these for exercise and everday use. They are comfortable as long as I don't wear them for more than 3 hours.
My little toe starts to hurt after that.
But they are very light and I do not feel all the rocks and things on the ground when I walk. So they do have a good tread on the outer sole.

Great shoes. A little difficult and frustrating to get on in the beginning, but after a couple days they get much easier. If using for running, start slow on soft ground (treadmill or trail) before going to concrete or asphalt. Great for weight lifting because you know where your balance is. Enjoy!

These are excellent shoes, as are the other seven pair of Vibrams I own. I especially like the TrekSport because of the patent leather insets on the toes. This enables them to be worn on formal occasions, as well as for ballroom dancing.

I went to EMS, measured my foot on the Vibram foot cut out and my foot fit perfectly in the shoe size it read. I was worried my pinkie toe isn't the biggest but it fit very well. If your like me and hate shoes and socks this is a good alternative, being able to walk using our foot as it was designed is wonderful. When I'm not wearing my work shoes these will be on my feet.

These shoes are fantastic. If you are looking for minimalist footwear and love that barefoot feeling, these shoes are perfect. They are thin, so you can really feel the wind, which isn't a bad thing unless it's freezing. However, I would recommend these shoes to anyone. They have been great trail running, hiking, and even going to the grocery store. Prepare for unexpected conversations from everyone curious enough to ask, "What is on your feet?".

Vibram five fingers are by far the most comfortable shoe you will ever wear. I have been wearing these every day for about a year and I now own three pairs. They are really comfortable and lightweight. Humans are not built to wear shoes, so why wear something that is bulky and impedes natural movement? Ever since I started wearing these all my back problems have dissapeared. I feel less fatigued after walking and they are just flat out more comfortable. They can be a bit cold in the winter so I recommend buying a pair a size up to accomodate socks. My only complaint is that they no longer make this model in leather, and that they don't offer enough models in earth tones. Try them out, they will change your life.

I started as a recreational runner who solely ran on the road; now I'm onto the diverse terrains of hiking trails that keeps me in touch with nature, while at doing something that I enjoy: running.
I've been looking at minimalist shoes for quite a while now and was I stuck in between the FiveFingers and Merrell Shoes. I went to the closest EMS store near me that sold both brands and there I was satisfied with the service given by a worker who was very well knowledgeable about running on paved roads and trails. Needless to say, I was enlightened by the fact that both footwear almost does the same thing, except for the idea that the public sees one as "odd" over the other (this should be easily deduced). Being an odd guy myself, I chose the Vibram FiveFingers and have been hiking and running with them ever since I bought them and have enjoyed its variability when it comes to its usage.
