Comments about BYER OF MAINE Easy Cot:

Outstanding cot. The "pros" for this cot are excellent. But the "easy cot" design does give a it a tendency to fold up if you try to move it to adjust its placement. Once it is where you want it, it is very stable.

Comments about BYER OF MAINE Easy Cot:

I have 4 cots now one for each member of my family. Very easy to open. My 9 year old can set it up. They are heavy but that means they are sturdy. I also like that the cots are wide and give you room to roll over.

Comments about BYER OF MAINE Easy Cot:

We ordered two cots on a Sunday after we got home from tent camping on leaky air mattresses. We were going camping the following weekend and never figured to have the cots on time, but they showed up two days later! Excellent service, EMS!

We used them in our tent that weekend, and were delighted with their ease of set up and take down. We weigh 230 and 175 lbs., and the cots supported us with no problem. We were able to sit in the middle of the cots to stand up rather than rolling off an air mattress onto the floor to get up (we're in our late fifties, so that feature is important), which was a treat.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was the feeling of being in a sling, but it didn't bother my husband, at all. I would definitely recommend putting padding of some sort on top of the cot. I use a 3" foam mattress topper for a twin bed, and it fits perfectly.

They're very easy to fold up; they almost fold themselves. When you go to move them you have to be careful that they don't start to fold up. Make sure to keep the legs out.

We also put furniture pads underneath each of the six legs so that they wouldn't tear the tent floor, eventually.

I asked my husband for his comments and he said, "Fantastic! Heavy duty!" Agreed.

Pretty much what I expected based on other, mostly favorable, reviews. I have struggled assembling other cots. This one practically falls open.

Comments about BYER OF MAINE Easy Cot:

My husband, who's not a fan of sleeping right on the ground, bought two of these for our most recent camping trip. When they say EasyCot, they mean it - this thing goes from folded to completely set up in about 4 seconds. It's a roomy, firm surface to sleep on and the legs are very sturdy. Packing it back up is equally easy. We had a large, two-room tent in which these fit perfectly - I wouldn't recommend them for smaller dome-style tents because they do take up quite a bit of space when set up. When folded up they're similar in size to a fold-up chair so they don't take up much space. Overall, we're very happy with our purchase.

Comments about BYER OF MAINE Easy Cot:

My husband and I have gone back and forth between cots and air mattresses for tent camping... he likes cots and I'm an air mattress gal. I was sick of re-inflating saggy air mattresses, and he was sick of wrestling with those terrible tension bars on regular-style cots. I finally found these after much research, and we couldn't be happier. We just got back from a three-night tent camp, and these cots were fantastic. They literally take 15 seconds to set up, and they seem a little more comfy than the standard stretched-canvas cots. They also have tons of room, he could even lay in one with our 20-month old next to him. These are awesome, totally worth the extra $.
