Comments about WESTERN MOUNTAINEERING MegaLite 30° Sleeping Bag, Regular:

This bag is incredibly light - this reduced my base pack weight by 1 1/4 pound from my 20 degree bag which was overkill for most 3 season trips. To handle lower temps and keep the bag clean, I wear Capilene 1 top and bottom at night instead of carrying a silk liner. This also packs down very small. The cut is perfect for me - I prefer a little more room around my arms, and this bag is cut several inches wider than the Summerlite. It remains to be seen how durable the fabric is - it is much lighter than my Kelty Light Year (another great bag but much heavier). The price is the only issue (I did buy during a 20% off sale), but, assuming the construction quality meets WM's reputation, I would hope to get many years out of this bag, which helps justify the cost. This purchase, along with the EMS Velocity 1 tent, was key to getting my base pack weight down below 12 lbs. I now can enjoy a nice 3 day trip with less than 20lbs on my back - compared to the 35lb+ I used to lug around. What a difference! Definitely no regrets on this one

Comments about WESTERN MOUNTAINEERING MegaLite 30° Sleeping Bag, Regular:

This bag is awesome. It's very light weight and packs to the size of a grapefruit. It's also very comfortable to sleep in. Plenty of shoulder room for anyone needing a little extra room. I bought a the long style and it seems to be perfect. I'm 5,10" and prefer a little extra room to move around. I'll be testing to see how well it does in summer nights for Arizona. Hopefully, it isn't too warm but nevertheless, this bag is a great 3 season bag.
