I wore these pants today in the snow and rain and stayed dry. I wore leggings underneath the pants. I got the XS, so it would've been a tight fit if I wore the XS over pants. My only con is the VELCRO at the top of the pants. I hate velcro. It already ripped up my brand new techwick base layer by EMS.
I am thinking of having a tailor take the velcro out and add snap-on or buttons instead. Otherwise, I am short 5'0" and the length was just fine for me!
