Comments about THE NORTH FACE Rock 32 Tent:
In my research looking for a 3-person tent it seemed that all of them fit 2 or 2.5 people in actuality - however with the Rock 32 fitting three people is not a problem. Sure, you'll be snug in there with three people and have little room for gear (that's what the TWO vestibules are for anyway), but it really is a 3-person tent.
I compared the Rock 32 directly with the Mountain Hardwear Drifter 3 (literally setting them up side-by-side) and found that the Rock 32 is a better constructed and sturdier design, has more internal mesh pockets, and the included gear loft is perfect. Also, the Rock 32 has the third pole extending the vestibules height on either side which made it much easier to get in and out.
It's not the lightest 3-person tent out there, but if you're actually using it for three people splitting the weight among them makes it entirely manageable. An excellent, quality product with the appropriate price to match.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Rock 32 Tent:
Let me start by saying I never review products on line but when camping I said to my girlfriend I had to review this tent. Set up was a breeze, we had the tent up in 5 - 10 minutes without a problem. The first night was a beautiful night but we decided to put the fly up in case of rain, and boy were we glad we did. That morning we woke to a downpour of rain, which would continue for the two days we were there. The tent ended up being the only thing that was dry for those two days. We did not purchase the footprint but this was not a problem. Each night it went down to about 50 degrees and the tent got cold, although it did block the wind and rain out. The two vestibules were a blessing in such bad rain. We were able to keep the wet gear outside of the tent while we stayed nice and dry. I can not recommend this tent enough. Although it could be a three person tent it will be tight, it was the perfect size with room to move around for two. I did receive this tent as a birthday gift, but only after I researched all tents and decided this was the one I wanted.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Rock 32 Tent:
Not a bad tent. I upgraded from a poorer quality tent that was probably worth the price I paid for it. This tent is better but over priced by about 100%. Forget about getting 3 people in it unless 1 is a kid. I also imagine you won't be very comfy if you're much over 6 feet tall (walls slope in too quickly). It is quite light and packs pretty good but it is really a short and wide 2 person tent. It handled some steady rain and moderate wind ok. The bottom line: If I could try before I buy, I'd try another tent. I probably should have set it up at the store and climbed in to check the size. The vestibules are nice but they make tent entry and exit difficult (crawl out on hands and knees or rub your head on the wet fly).
