The hipster EMS undies are my favorite underwear for everyday use as well as any of the sports I participate in. I purchased more of these to stock up my collection, however am sort of disappointed. I kept 1/2 of the pairs I ordered b/c I need new skibbies, but returned the rest. The fit and material is different from the old hipsters. It is a thinner fit, with a tighter elastic around the butt - which emphasizes the panty line (especially with tighter fitting work out clothes), and the waste band isn't as wide as it used to be (I liked the extra thickness of the old material as well as the wider wasteband b/c on days I wasn't feeling so "hot", it seemed like it helped to control a little belly jiggle.) Also, I am a solid size 8 and if I didn't order the L/XL I would have had to use the undies as Barbie clothes, as they run a lot smaller than I feel they should? If I was bigger, these really wouldn't cover my assets accurately. It is a total bummer when loved styles/fits change. It should at least be noted in the descriptions of new items, so as too not get high hopes. I know we are talking undies here, but there is nothing like a good fit on my tush. :) I would recommend this if you aren't picky and don't know what you were missing (b/c you haven't experienced the old fit).

I wear bikini briefs to work out and other athletic type activities. Have Jockey tactel bikinis but these are ever more comfortable and fit a mans athletic mens anatomy weel.

I bought these to wear under my running tights. I tested them out on some long runs before finally wearing them for a half marathon. They wicked really well and I will continue to use them for running. The only negative is that I really wouldn't call them hipster style. They are definitely more bikini style. I would prefer them to come up a tad higher.

In general I love these. However, the product has changed since the last time I bought them. They are little more toward the bikini side and a little less on the hipster. I prefer them to be higher so I was disappointed, but I still like the comfort of them.

I bought these with the intent to wear them while hiking, biking, kayaking and camping. I found them to be so comfortable and seamless that I now wear them everyday. I plan to buy more when they are on sale.

I ordered these to wear while running. I sweat a good bit and running in my normal undies always left me feeling icky. And since I haven't made it to the no-undie running stage of my life I started my search for something better. These worked great. I didn't notice them while I was running, but definitely noticed that I didn't have the same icky feeling afterwards. I'm trying out a few more brands, but this pair is definitely in the top 3! Thanks!

I ordered this in a M/L based on previous reviews. When I pulled it out of the package I held it next to my XS Patagonia bikini bottoms and it was even smaller. Granted, I've been wearing the Patagonia bottoms so they're a bit stretched out, but basically you need to order at least a size up with this underwear. I'm usually a size S. Since this is a "hipster" style I guess even if you order up you still get a bit of a bulge effect from the elastic. At the same time, I find there is extra fabric that I don't need since I did order up - even though the elastic is tight. For reference, I'm 5'8", 120lbs and 34" hips. Otherwise the amethyst color is a nice pinky purple and they're comparable to other active style bottoms that I have.

Great fit and very comfortable - 9 hour motorcycle trip in 90 degree weather and stayed dry!

I've purchased this brand of underwear in the past, and it's been the only underwear I've worn for years; I love it. However, the new design is really disappointing. The fabric is thinner, the hipster smaller, and overall I'm really dissatisfied with the new design. I'd really like EMS to go back to the old design.
